Polaroid

I cannot take credit for this photo. It was taken by Terence while I set up the camera for a timer polaroid photo. Then I edited it and made it look lovely.

12/52 - Bottles

Last week I was on location at the shoot of an upcoming short film titled 'All Night Gaming'. The film is being produced by one of my really close friends, so he invited me along to shoot some behind the scenes shots while they worked. I couldn't resist getting a shot of these prop bottles... aren't they just the most delightful colours!

11/52 - Photo in a photo

Here's a bit of a twist on the usual polaroid shot, I nice photo-in-a-photo moment captured in my front yard. It is in fact taken right underneath the window where my bee from last week's photo sits... a fun fact for those of you playing at home...

10/52 - Bee

This photo was taken as a result of the power being off at my house from 8am-5pm for repairs to electricity lines near my house (or something like that). I was rather bored in my silent house, without the comforting hum of electronics in almost every room, so I grabbed my camera and took some photos of my bee. He was a gift, and he sits on my window sill and spins in the wind. They don't sell these in the store anymore, so he's pretty special! It was tricky getting this shot as the shutter couldn't be open too long in broad daylight, but I wanted to capture the motion of his wings spinning. I liked this shot.

9/52 - Garage Door

The words 'garage door' remind me of 'cellar door', the compound noun admired for its phonoaesthetic beauty and made famous in the movie 'Donnie Darko'. Anybody else? No? .... Alright, moving on...

Not sure what I feel about this one. The concept has been stewing in my head for a while, but I still think I could improve it.

Time is of the essence

While I have been taking photos over the past few weeks, and have been keeping my 52 project in the back of my mind, I have not had the time to sit down and edit/upload my photos regularly. However, tonight I did a lot of bulk photo processing, and so am updating my 52 project for Flickr in one go. Prepare to be bombarded with almost a months' worth of 52 goodness!!!
