8/52 - Bear

This week's 52 photo is a bear.
I don't know his name, I don't know who he is, who he belongs to, or even why he is tied to a tree. I passed him yesterday, bound to a tree next to the lake, gazing listlessly towards the setting sun. Deciding that sometimes it's the random things you come across daily that are the coolest, I went back today to photograph him.

7/52 - Look up, there's bokeh!

The 7th addition to my 52 project is a photograph taken this week after I'd submitted all of my uni work.

We went exploring in Rhododendron Park and took some photos. There's not a specific set for the photos on Flickr, but the following photos (1 & 2) were also taken on the same day.

Dark room photography

My elective for this session at uni was advanced dark room photography. I love being in the dark room, and the possibilities of shooting with film (even though it often means you develop a blank roll of film after treating it with chemicals for 30 minutes!)

Yesterday was the final submission day for the subject. We exhibit our final prints and submit our journals to be marked. I took photos once my prints were hung on the wall, and uploaded them. Any quality lost is because these are photos of the prints hanging on the wall, but they still look pretty decent I think.

My project was titled 'Emerge', and was a loose study of light and shadow.

6/52 - Tinkerbell

This week's 52 project shot is a polaroid!

It's that time when a whole bunch of people I grew up with are turning 21 (myself included). This costume was for a good friend's party, for which we were asked to dress as movie characters.

I've always LOVED Peter Pan. Everything about it. The book, the author, the movies, the characters, the concept. So when I found out I had access to a Tinkerbell costume (which was kindly lent to me), I couldn't pass up the opportunity!
