Sydney Adventure

Last week I went into Sydney with Murray Stace to find it relatively deserted and perfect for photographing. It was Good Friday, and it was late at night, so no one was really around. We took photos of anything that looked interesting, and I put the best of mine up on Flickr.

It's been a while. Happy Easter. Hope you guzzled lots of chocolate, like this little chick did.

Neil Gaiman at the Oscars

So, this isn't entirely relevant to photography, but I'm going to attempt to draw a tentative link between the two topics because I want to post it to my blog.

There are certain blogs that I check frequently because I enjoy reading them. One of which is Neil Gaiman's blog. In one entry, he linked to an article he wrote about being at the Oscars and feeling like a weird, fly-on-the-wall spectator to the lives of the celebrities. It's a really well-written, entertaining read, which can be found on The Guardian's website.

At the end of the article he talks about being photographed looking at the dress of Rachel McAdams [Here comes the dodgy link to photography]. The photo is actually really cool, stitching together a bunch of photographs to create a panoramic view of the red carpet as if you are standing amongst the action. And it's hilarious that Neil made his way into the photo.
